The Sisters of Mercy of the Americas in Savannah, GA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide dignified, compassionate nursing care to residents in our facility.

You will follow individualized care plans, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document changes while maintaining infection control and safety. Join a ministry of care that values teamwork, empathy, and commitment to the well-being of our retired Sisters, with rotating shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse credential required.
• Commitment to safe, compassionate, respectful care.

Responsabilités

• Follow individualized nursing and medical plans of care, administering medications and treatments within your scope of practice.
• Monitor and document residents' vital signs, symptoms, progress, and responses to care.
• Recognize and promptly report changes in residents' physical or mental conditions.
• Respond to call lights promptly and courteously, reinforce routine patient education, and complete shift-change reports.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures, including PPE use, hand hygiene, and safe handling of equipment and supplies.
• Assist with resident transfers, mobility, and other activities using proper body mechanics and lifting equipment.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment, reporting hazards and equipment concerns promptly.
• Respond calmly and resourcefully to emergencies and communicate professionally with Sisters, families, visitors, coworkers, and leadership.
• Demonstrate initiative, support staffing coverage and on-call nursing duties as needed, and work assigned rotating schedules, including weekends and holidays.
