Job summary

Osceola Regional Health Center in Sibley, IA, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide professional nursing care under RN supervision. Shifts include days and nights with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualified candidates have an Iowa LPN license (or multistate licensure), completion of a CCNE/NLN-accredited program, and BLS at hiring or within 12 months. Mandatory reporter training must be completed within three months.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred.
• Current license to practice in Iowa and/or multi-state licensure as an LPN is required.
• Iowa Mandatory Reporter training within three months of employment.
• BLS certifications must be acquired within 12 months of employment and kept current.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as directed by the Charge Nurse (RN).
• Acts within the medical/surgical/emergency department scope of practice.
• Knowledge of medications and may administer medications as ordered, utilizing the Pyxis system.
• Maintains records of treatments and nursing care in the electronic medical record.
• Works as a team member to ensure quality care for the facility’s patients.
