Job summary

Osceola Regional Health Center in Sibley, IA is seeking a Regular LPN to provide professional nursing care under RN supervision. This position involves rotating days/nights with weekend and holiday duties and requires adherence to licensure and training requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred.
• Current license to practice in Iowa and/or multi-state licensure as an LPN is required.
• Iowa Mandatory Reporter training within three months of employment.
• BLS certifications must be acquired within 12 months of employment and must be kept current throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as directed by the Charge Nurse (RN).
• Able to perform duties within scope of practice within the medical/surgical/emergency department settings.
• Must have knowledge of medications, and may administer medications, within in scope of practice, in a safe and correct manner as ordered by the medical provider and through utilization of the pyxis system.
• Maintains records of medical and nursing treatments and related services executed by nursing staff through appropriate and accurate documentation and utilization of the electronic medical record.
• Works as a team member to ensure quality care to the facility's patients. Able to communicate effectively with other members of the hospital team and the medical providers.

Position Highlights

SUMMARY: Provides professional nursing care under supervision of an RN for assigned patients according to the standards, policies, procedures, licensure, and scope of practice. Days and Nights (rotating shifts, every third weekend night assignment, two holidays per calendar year)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
