Job summary

Mercy Health Defiance Clinic seeks an LPN to deliver patient care under physician direction and to support the health care team during visits. The LPN will assess patients, prepare them for provider visits, and document responses to care provided during appointments.

Responsibilities include collaborating with physicians, labeling specimens, assisting with procedures, and performing assigned clerical tasks as needed. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Active state LPN licensure or eligible for licensure in Ohio.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• At least 1 year of clinical patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians and health care team to meet patient/family needs.
• Provides direct basic nursing care under the LPN scope of practice.
• Labels and packages specimens as trained.
• Assists in administrative duties as assigned by the RN.
• Acts as a chaperone during patient examinations.
• Assists provider with procedures, treatments and interventions.
