Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license for the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months unless exempt by leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care according to policies and standards.
• Assist with data collection and assessment, document actions and responses.
• Assist with care plan development and implementation under RN guidance.
• Support patient teaching per individualized plan of care.
• Document nursing interventions and patient responses; report changes to RN.
• Communicate changes in medical orders to RN.
• Perform clinical tasks such as medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, venipuncture.
• Assist with patient positioning and transporting using proper technique.
• Ensure age-appropriate care through growth and development knowledge.
