Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an LPN to join our Charlotte, NC team. The role includes patient exam prep, vital signs documentation, and collaboration with physicians. You will assist with procedures, administer medications, and coordinate follow-up care, including patient education.

A strong emphasis is placed on infection control and accurate charting. The ideal candidate has an active LPN license, BLS certification, and completed a recognized practical nursing program.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license active in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must be obtained within 45 days.
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients for exams, document vital signs and health information.
• Perform laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and standard precautions.
• Assist physicians with procedures and surgeries.
• Administer medications under orders, including IV therapy within scope.
• Provide patient education and follow-up for tests, prescriptions, and referrals.
• Document patient status and communicate with the care team.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies, stock and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and infection control of instruments and areas.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate patient care.
