Qualifications

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers within 45 days.
Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
Excellent communication and organization skills.
Ability to use electronic medical records systems.

Responsibilities

Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting health information.
Assists physician with procedures and surgeries under supervision.
Administers medications per orders; initiates IV therapy within scope where allowed.
Maintains infection control and aseptic techniques during procedures.
Performs clinical tasks such as venipuncture, EKGs, and specimen collection.
Documents patient conditions and communicates with care team.
