Qualifications

• Six months of general experience demonstrating the ability to acquire knowledge and skills to perform Nursing Assistant work.
• Education: One year of education above high school with courses related to the NA occupation.
• Training: Completion of an intensive, specialized, occupation-related training course of study or program of less than one year as a NA.
• Education: Successful completion of 2 years above high school in an accredited institution with courses related to nursing care, healthcare or in a field of study appropriate to the specialization of the position, such as education in a program for psychology, psychiatric, or operating room technicians.
• Demonstrated KSAs include the ability to provide nursing care, communicate with patients and families, and respond to emergent care situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of patient/resident care under the direction of a RN/LPN.
• Observe patients/residents for changes and report deviations promptly to a supervisor.
• Use equipment and basic diagnostic/treatment tools as required in nursing care.
• Assist with nursing care plans and participate in patient/resident recovery.
