Responsibilities

• Utilize glucose monitoring machine to obtain readings for veterans and refer deviations to appropriate health care staff.
• Provide direct care for complex veterans.
• Observe subtle changes in resident condition and take action within the NA role.
• Document care, observations and responses on appropriate forms.
• Administer tracheostomy care, including suctioning.
• Monitor and document patient intake and output; report deviations timely.
