Job summary

IncrediCare in Fairfax, VA seeks an attentive caregiver to support clients at home. You will assist with mobility, daily living activities, and coordinating with medical teams to ensure safety. We offer paid training and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Prior caregiver experience preferred.
• Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification.
• Willingness to adhere to CDC health guidelines, including COVID-19 safety.
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with dietary considerations.
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner.
• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Help with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.).
• Provide redirection and activity support for sundowning.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Help with completing physical therapy and other recommended exercise.
• Complete shopping or accompany clients when they shop if needed.
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members.
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
