Job summary

Woodlands Nursing Home in Ripley is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to help with meal preparation, cooking and serving for residents. The role supports a team delivering nutritious, well-presented food and involves morning shifts including breakfast preparation.

We value a caring, friendly individual who can communicate with residents and colleagues. Previous kitchen experience and DBS checks are required; travel considerations to Butterley Hill, Ripley DE5 3LW apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of food preparation and kitchen support duties is required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation, cooking and serving of meals, taking into account residents’ dietary requirements and preferences.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen and dining area, ensuring all equipment is cleaned and well maintained.
• Maintaining accurate records relating to food supplies, temperatures and kitchen schedules.
• Ensuring statutory Health and Safety standards are maintained.
• Working as part of the wider team to support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to our residents.
