Job summary

UNAVAILABLE is seeking a Food Service Worker to perform cleaning, food preparation, stocking and serving duties in a commercial kitchen within an assisted living setting. The role requires attention to hygiene, the ability to assist residents, and adherence to sanitation standards.

Responsibilities include assisting residents, obtaining items, washing dishes, and preparing foods while following standard procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months experience in food service preferred.
• Food Handlers Card or ServSafe within 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of proper food sanitation methods and equipment.
• Must read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with information and inquiries.
• Obtain products requested by residents.
• Wash dishes and utensils by hand or with equipment.
• Prepare food following standard food handling procedures.
• Clean and stock dining, kitchen, and storage areas.
• Support an effective Safety Program.
• Remove garbage and set up serving areas.
• Assist cooks and coordinate activities with others.
• May occasionally prepare food or cook vegetables, entrees, coffee, sauces, meats.
• Other duties as assigned.
