Job summary

Bedford Care Centers is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with all Dietary operations, including food preparation, cooking, serving meals, and maintaining a clean kitchen and dishwashing area.

The role involves checking menus and resident preferences, stocking supplies, and delivering meals to nursing stations, with on-the-job training provided. Excellent benefits accompany full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write at a level necessary to accomplish job duties.
• Must be able to pass drug screen and have a satisfactory Criminal History Background Check

Responsibilities

• Assists with checking in groceries, other supplies, storing food, other duties as instructed
• Assists in the preparation, set ups and serving meals, snacks, drinks and loading food carts
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, floors, dishes, utensils, dishwashing area and any other areas in the Dietary Department or Dining Rooms as needed
• Assists in checking food trays for menu and diet accuracy and for Resident's preferences
• Assists with proper storage of foods and supplies and communication regarding food and supplies availability
• Assists with cooking, operating dishwasher or other duties as requested and/or assigned
• Delivers food carts to Nursing Stations for service of meals
