Job summary

Hawthorn Senior Living is seeking a team-oriented dishwasher to prepare, wash, and store dishes, assist in serving meals, and clear tables for residents. This role emphasizes adherence to sanitation procedures and collaboration with the culinary team.

You will cross-train in other positions as directed and must maintain a positive, respectful attitude in a busy dining environment. 18+ and ability to work in accordance with state health regulations are required.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of cleaning and sanitation.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Regular on-site attendance as scheduled.
• Maintain knowledge of Hawthorn Senior Living Employee Handbook and company policies.
• Prepare, wash, and store dishes following Hawthorn procedures; assist in bussing and serving; set dining tables.
• Assist Chefs/Cooks with cleaning areas and equipment; complete dishwasher temperature logs.
• Work as part of the food services team to ensure safe kitchen operation.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation practices; treat residents and staff with dignity and respect.
