Job summary

Hawthorn Senior Living seeks a reliable kitchen support teammate to handle dishwashing, basic meal service, and dining room setup. You will be trained across positions and must follow Hawthorn procedures to ensure smooth, safe dining operations for residents.

Responsibilities include maintaining sanitation, assisting chefs, and upholding resident dignity in a fast-paced environment. Training and cross-training opportunities are provided within the community.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• General knowledge of cleaning and sanitation.
• Maintains a food handlers permit as necessary to fulfill state regulations.
• Effective communication in English with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, wash, and store dishes following Hawthorn procedures.
• Clean dishwashing area per sanitation procedures.
• Assist in bussing, serving, and room tray delivery as needed.
• Set tables in the dining room.
• Assist chefs in cleaning areas and equipment; sweep and mop floors.
• Complete dishwasher temperature logs as required.
• Work as part of the food services team to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Follow safety and sanitation practices and procedures.
• Treat residents and staff with dignity and respect.
• Other duties as assigned by Community Executive Chef.
