Job summary

Perimeter Healthcare in Springfield, MO is seeking an Assessment & Referral Clinician Therapist to manage intake processes and liaison activities for patients and referral sources. You will work under the Director of Intake in a fast-paced hospital setting, ensuring accurate data and smooth referral flows.

The role requires a RN or Master’s in Psychology/Behavioral Health, with BH assessment experience preferred and inpatient BH exposure desirable.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from a Registered Nurse accredited school or have a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Behavioral Health or related field.
• Experience in Behavioral Health assessment and/or treatment preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience on an inpatient Behavioral Health Unit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake interviews to establish and assess appropriate level of care.
• Receive inquiries and conduct initial intake screening for service viability.
• Serve as client liaison and refer appropriately (free initial consultation, direct admission or outpatient referrals).
• Assess psychosocial and emotional status across age groups including geriatric.
• Coordinate communications with clinical, nursing, business office and development staff.
• Monitor referrals and follow up with referral sources regarding patient disposition.
• Document and organize data from inquiry calls to aid referral development.
• Communicate clearly in oral and written form and notify supervisor of essential information.
