Job summary

3HC Home Health and Hospice is seeking an Inpatient Hospice Nurse, LPN at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC. This full-time role offers a weekend option and requires NC LPN licensure, CPR certification, and compassionate bedside care for terminally ill patients.

The nurse will perform skilled nursing tasks, document care in EMR, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support patients and families with dignity and comfort.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed to practice nursing in North Carolina (NC).
• One year of recent experience in an acute facility preferred.
• Possess and maintain current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Abides by and supports 3HC's Compliance Program and Code of Ethics.
• Provides comfort to patient/family and performs nursing procedures as approved by the NC Practice Act.
• Maintains current electronic documentation and submits shift notes in EMR.
• Teaches and counsels patient/family and coordinates hospice care with the Interdisciplinary team.
• Maintains regular communication with supervisor and participates in team conferences and ongoing quality improvement activities.
