Job summary

PurposeCare is a leading home care and home health services provider serving the Midwest, caring for more than 3,000 clients monthly. The caregiver role at the Oswego location focuses on compassionate, personalized support to enhance safety, comfort, and well-being for daily living activities, with strong emphasis on empathy and trust within families.

You will work with clients to understand needs, communicate with the care team, and help maintain independence in a respectful community setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid.
• Prior experience in caregiving or a related healthcare support role.
• Ability to pass background checks and meet health screening requirements.
• Strong communication skills and basic literacy to document care activities accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Administer medication reminders and monitor clients’ health conditions, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals or family members.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation and promote mental well-being.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments, social activities, or errands to support their engagement with the community.
• Document care provided and communicate effectively with the care team to ensure continuity and quality of care.
