Job summary

PurposeCare is seeking a compassionate caregiver to join our Oswego, IL team, delivering in-home support that enhances daily living and independence for clients in their own homes. You will assist with activities of daily living, coordinate with families, and monitor health conditions with CPR/First Aid certified training.

A high school diploma and reliable transportation are preferred; background checks are required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
CPR and First Aid certification required.
Prior caregiving experience preferred.
Ability to pass background checks and health screening.
Strong communication skills and basic literacy for documenting care.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility).
Provide medication reminders and monitor health conditions; report changes to health professionals or family.
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation.
Maintain a clean, safe living environment including light housekeeping.
Accompany clients to appointments, outings, and errands.
Document care provided and communicate with the care team to ensure continuity.
