Job summary

Alliance Homecare is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA)/Caregiver to provide essential help with daily living activities in clients' homes. You will offer personal care, companionship, and support with meals, mobility, and safety to ensure a comfortable living environment.

Qualified candidates may have a high school diploma or equivalent; caregiver experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous caregiver experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting and transferring clients.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks (bathing, grooming, dressing).
• Help with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure safety.
• Prepare and serve meals with dietary considerations.
• Light housekeeping (laundry, cleaning, organizing).
• Provide medication reminders and assist with exercises or therapies as prescribed.
• Offer companionship and meaningful activities.
• Monitor changes in health or behavior and report to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain client confidentiality and follow health and safety guidelines.
