Elmwood Park seeks compassionate Homemakers / Home Care Aides to help clients stay safe, comfortable and independent at home. Responsibilities include light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and companionship, under the guidance of a supervisor.

The role emphasizes respectful, professional care and adherence to agency policies. Training and orientation are provided, with opportunities to grow within the home care team.

Qualifications

• Must pass agency exam with 75% or higher.
• In good physical health.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Valid automobile insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal planning and meal preparation.
• Perform light housekeeping duties (dusting, beds, vacuuming, floors).
• Laundry and cleaning kitchens and bathrooms.
• Assist with essential shopping and errands per care plan.
• Escort clients to medical appointments and outings as outlined.
• Provide companionship, emotional support and communication assistance.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities and service hours.
