Elmhurst is seeking Homemakers / Home Care Aides to provide in-home support, enabling clients to stay safe, comfortable, and independent. You will perform light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and transportation as outlined in care plans, while delivering compassionate companionship.

Qualifications

• Good physical health is required.
• Must pass agency exam with 75% or higher.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Related training or experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal planning and meal preparation.
• Perform light housekeeping: making beds, dusting, vacuuming, washing floors; clean kitchens and bathrooms.
• Laundry and ironing as needed; assist with essential shopping and errands per care plan.
• Escort clients to medical appointments, outings, and activities per plan.
• Provide companionship and emotional support; assist with communication needs and written correspondence.
• Follow the written care plan and agency policies; observe changes and report concerns to the Supervisor.
