Job summary

Hospital Sisters Health System seeks a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support nursing staff in a hospital-based setting. The role focuses on bedside care and patient comfort within the Medical-Surgical department.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, acute care experience, and preferred CNA/PCT certification; BLS is required within 30 days of hire. This is a PRN Days position based in Highland, IL.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• 1 year of experience in acute care setting is preferred.
• CNA or PCT certification in state of practice is preferred.
• BLS within 30 days upon hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care and support to patients under nursing supervision.
• Support nursing staff with daily clinical tasks.
• Assist with patient mobility, comfort, and safety.
• Document patient care activities per hospital policy.
