Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a nursing assistant to provide direct patient care and assist with unit coordination on the inpatient floor. You will perform basic nursing procedures, monitor stable patients, and document care in the electronic medical record.

Under RN supervision you will support admissions, discharges and transfers, maintain patient comfort, and ensure safety and privacy for patients and families in line with HIPAA and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Preferred: ASN or BSN program enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and documents care in EMR.
• Assists RN in care of acutely ill patients.
• Participates in unit activities including admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Maintains patient safety, comfort and privacy.
