The role includes checking in patients, managing the switchboard, routing calls, and maintaining essential records and mail flows. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of experience on a multi-line telephone switchboard in healthcare settings.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience on a multi-line telephone switchboard, preferably in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, visitors and staff at the front desk and assist as needed.
• Check in patients for assessment and direct to appropriate staff.
• Answer switchboard and route calls accurately.
• Maintain census book and handle deliveries and mail.
• Provide clerical support and keep AR forms stocked.
• Keep lobby and triage rooms orderly and presentable.
• Enter admissions, AR calls, discharges and transfers in data systems.
• Assist with various clerical duties and projects as assigned.
