Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is seeking a Cook to support patient meals, staff, and visitors. You will prepare items according to recipes, maintain quality standards, and assist with dish duties under the supervision of the Food & Nutrition Services leadership.

The role offers flexibility with full-time, part-time, or per diem schedules and requires 1–3 years of related experience or training, plus a High School diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent educational background.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• ServSafe Certification preferred within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Determine types and quantities of foods to be prepared by reviewing menus and tallies.
• Identify low-supply foods and communicate needs to Director/Supervisor.
• Ensure meals are ready at specified times and manage leftovers as directed.
• Prepare foods per approved recipes and present them attractively.
