Job summary

Cedar Valley Hospice in Waverly, IA is seeking a compassionate Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver patient-centered end-of-life care in homes and facilities. You’ll work with an interdisciplinary team to assess needs and develop comfort-focused plans.

The role requires Iowa RN license, strong communication, teamwork, and reliable transportation. A BSN is preferred and 2 years of nursing experience is preferred; on-call and weekend schedule as described.

Qualifications

• Current Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
• BSN and/or hospice experience preferred.
• Demonstrated empathy, communication, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to hospice patients in homes and healthcare facilities.
• Assess patients’ physical, emotional, psychosocial and spiritual needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor changes in condition and update the plan of care.
• Educate and support patients, caregivers and families; advocate for patients throughout the hospice journey.
