Cedar Valley Hospice in Waterloo, IA seeks a compassionate Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to join our interdisciplinary team and deliver expert end-of-life care in homes and facilities.

Qualifications

• Current Iowa Registered Nurse license.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to teamwork.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn work-related software.
• Valid Iowa driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to hospice patients in homes and healthcare facilities
• Deliver compassionate end-of-life care focused on comfort, dignity and quality of life
• Assess patients' physical, emotional, psychosocial and spiritual needs
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans
• Monitor changes in condition and update plan of care
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning discussions
• Educate and support patients, caregivers and families
• Coordinate care and advocate for patients and families throughout their hospice journey
