Job summary

Del Corazon Hospice in Los Alamos, NM is seeking a Full Time Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to provide in-home hospice care across Los Alamos, White Rock and surrounding communities. Home office is in Santa Fe, with travel to Santa Fe for IDT and meetings.

This mission-driven role emphasizes compassionate end-of-life care and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. The Hospice RN ensures symptom management, compassionate support, and thorough documentation to maintain comfort and dignity

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Mexico (required)
• At least 1 year of nursing experience (hospice/home health preferred)
• Strong assessment and communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously in the field with reliable transportation
• CPR certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Case manage hospice patients in Los Alamos and surrounding communities
• Participate in nurse on-call rotation with paid stipend and after-hours pay
• Conduct patient assessments and manage pain/symptom control
• Administer medications per physician plan of care
• Educate and support patients, caregivers, and families
• Collaborate with IDT for coordinated care
• Document timely in EMR
• Advocate for comfort-focused, patient-centered care
