Job summary

Ohio Living is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Hospice Field Staff, delivering high-quality hospice care in patients' homes and care facilities across Ohio. The role emphasizes comprehensive care planning, symptom management, and collaboration with the healthcare team to meet patient needs.

The RN will assess care requirements, develop care plans, and educate patients and families, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines and company standards.

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered license for the state of Ohio to practice as an RN.
• One year of acute care or medical-surgical nursing experience required.
• Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet.
• EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides ongoing nursing care to patients in homes and health care facilities.
• Develops and implements comprehensive care plans addressing patient needs.
• Follows nursing standards of practice and hospice protocols.
• Manages pain and symptoms for patient comfort.
• Communicates changes in patient condition to other health care providers.
• Assesses patient and caregiver needs and provides education when necessary.
