Job summary

GBMC HealthCare seeks a Hospice Nurse for day shift at Gilchrist Center Towson. You will deliver nursing and supportive care for terminally ill patients and their families, working within an interdisciplinary team to implement patient-directed plans.

The role requires ADN/BSN, MD RN license in Maryland, and at least two years of nursing experience with strong infection-control and EMR skills. Expect a patient- and family-centered environment with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• ADN and/or BSN from an accredited institution.
• Two years of nursing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current MD registered nursing license.
• Knowledgeable of universal precautions and infection control; able to protect self and patients.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality nursing care to patients with life-limiting illness in coordination with the primary physician.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team to develop patient-directed care plans.
• Evaluates patient/family response and adjusts care plans; educates on infection control to patients and families.
• Documents accurately in the chart; maintains records of inpatient course.
