Job summary

Bristol Hospice in the United States seeks compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants to join our Interdisciplinary Team. You will assist patients with personal care, comfort, and observation under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, while communicating with families with respect and confidentiality.

Ideal candidates are CNAs in good standing, with California HHA certification if applicable, and a willingness to undergo background checks and CPR.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant.
• California requires a current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in good standing.
• One year of community health/hospice or medical/surgical experience preferred.
• 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training.
• Licensed driver with automobile and valid insurance.
• Willingness to submit to a criminal background check and annual verification.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and comfort to patients.
• Meet safety needs and use equipment correctly (foot stools, side rails, O2 etc.).
• Record vital signs and monitor changes per orders.
• Assist with meals, bathing, and mobility as assigned.
• Document care and plan-of-care activities per guidelines.
• Support families with information and empathetic communication.
