Job summary

Bristol Hospice is seeking an experienced Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to join our team serving patients in home settings. The CHHA will work under the supervision of an RN, providing compassionate personal care, support with daily living activities, and adherence to the plan of care.

A CNA in good standing is required, with California HHA considerations noted where applicable. The ideal candidate demonstrates empathy, strong communication, and the ability to work autonomously in a home

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing.
• California-specific requirement if applicable (HHA certification in CA).
• Prefer 1 year experience in community health or hospice settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including baths, grooming, and hygiene.
• Assist with meals, feeding, and hydration as assigned.
• Take and record vital signs when ordered.
• Monitor skin integrity and prevent tissue breakdown.
• Communicate with patients and families with empathy and respect.
• Support medication reminders as allowed by state regulations.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and activities of daily living.
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly living environment.
