Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services is seeking a Hospice CNA to join our compassionate hospice team. Under supervision of a registered nurse or therapist, you will perform essential personal care, observe patients, report observations, and document care to support safety, quality, and continuity of patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include bathing, oral care, feeding assistance, assisting in ambulation, taking vital signs when ordered, and supporting patients with activities of daily

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical basics and Hospice.
• HIPAA laws and confidentiality.
• Strong emotional stability, compassion and patience.
• Problem solving, critical thinking, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to measure vital signs and record patient information.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care including baths, oral hygiene, and assisting with dressing.
• Planning and preparing nutritious meals and assisting in feeding.
• Taking and recording vital signs when ordered.
• Assisting in ambulation and range of motion exercises.
• Helping with medication administration self-care under supervision.
• Doing patient laundry and maintaining hygiene and living area.
• Ensuring safety and proper use of equipment.
• Observing patients and reporting/documenting observations.
