Job summary

Optimal Hospice Care is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide essential care to hospice patients. The role focuses on maintaining comfort, dignity, and quality of life through personal care, hygiene, and daily living support.

Ideal candidates will have CNA training, CPR certification, and a genuine empathy for patients. Reliable transportation and ability to work with a patient-family team are preferred.

Qualifications

• State CNA training or certification required.
• CPR certification required.
• Demonstrated empathy and ability to provide compassionate patient care.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care tasks as assigned and report to the Case Manager for tasks beyond scope.
• Assist with activities of daily living and hygiene.
• Aid in dressing, bathing, feeding, and mobility.
• Assist with meals and nutrition as directed.
• Take and record vital signs when instructed.
