Job summary

JOL Hospice Kyle is seeking a Part Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide personal healthcare and related services to patients in their homes in Kyle, TX. This role requires up to 50% travel and adherence to the Aide Plan of Care.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma and appropriate state-approved CNA training or licensure, plus at least one year of relevant experience or completed CNA training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred; must have completed one of the listed CNA/training options.
• One year of hospice aide or nursing assistant experience preferred, or CNA/CHHA program completed.
• Ability to read, write and verbal report clinical information to patients and staff.
• Successful completion of aide competency evaluation with the required skills test.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the RN direction and according to the Plan of Care.
• Assists patients with safe transfers and ambulation per policy.
• Reports changes in patient condition and documents pertinent information and care provided.
• Maintains infection control and a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Promotes respectful communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Respects patient privacy and property.
• Assists with proper nutrition and adequate fluid intake.
• Contributes to efficient operation and effective time management.
• Performs treatments and procedures according to Hospice policy.
• Promotes Hospice philosophy and adheres to administrative policies.
