Job summary

JOL Healthcare, Inc. Leander hospice is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate in-home care under RN supervision.

You will support patients with daily living activities, monitor health changes, and document observations while maintaining a safe, clean environment. The role requires a HS diploma (or equivalent) and completion of approved CNA training; one year of hospice or long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred. Must have successfully completed one of the listed training paths.
• State-approved nurse aide training or competency evaluation program.
• Competency evaluation program meeting state requirements.
• State nurse aide registry in good standing or eligible for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under RN direction, following the Aide Plan of Care.
• Assists with safe transfers and ambulation per Hospice policy.
• Reports changes in condition and documents care provided.
• Maintains infection control and a clean, safe environment.
• Communicates with patients, families, and staff respectfully.
• Respects patient privacy and property, assists with nutrition and hydration.
• Contributes to efficient Hospice operations and time management.
• Performs treatments and procedures per Hospice policy.
• Adheres to Hospice philosophy and administrative policies.
