Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a CNA Hospice Aide to provide compassionate, hands-on care to hospice patients in their homes. You will support families, assist with daily living activities, and help ensure comfort, dignity, and emotional well-being in alignment with the care plan.

Primary responsibilities include personal care, safety-focused assistance, nutritious meal support, and coordination with the hospice care team.

Qualifications

• Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant (CNA).
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics during personal care tasks.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding as assigned.
• Performs homemaking and other environmental services as assigned.
• Observes, reports, and documents changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Follows written care instructions prepared by a registered nurse before delivering services.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist.
• Performs simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
• Other duties as assigned.
