Job summary

Bristol Hospice seeks experienced Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to join the Interdisciplinary Group Team, under RN supervision, delivering compassionate care to patients and families in a hospice setting.

The ideal candidate must be a CA-registered CNA with a current HHA certification, preferably with 1 year of hospice or medical/surgical experience, and a valid driver’s license. CPR certification is required; background checks will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Must be a CNA in good standing with applicable California requirements.
• Preferred to have 1 year experience in community health/hospice or medical/surgical environments.
• Minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training.
• Licensed driver with a valid automobile insurance in good standing.
• Willingness to submit to a criminal background check prior to hire and annually thereafter.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care tasks and attend to patient requests promptly.
• Provide compassionate communication with patients and families, maintaining confidentiality.
• Provide safe care and use equipment properly.
• Assist with bathing, oral hygiene, and changing bed linens.
• Assist in dressing, meals, and feeding as assigned.
• Take and record basic vital signs as ordered and report changes.
