Job summary

TriHealth is seeking a Hospice Aide to support the Hospice of Cincinnati East Home Care/Long-Term Care Team. You will provide compassionate direct patient care, companionship, and emotional support in patients’ homes and long-term care settings across the East Cincinnati territory, traveling as needed.

The role requires 6 months to 2 years healthcare experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 2 years of healthcare experience required.
• Reading and Math ability appropriate to the position.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care tasks under the supervision of a nurse, including daily living activities and companionship.
• Communicates effectively with the patient and multidisciplinary team.
• Monitors and restocks supplies; reports problems.
• Documents clinical interactions per policy and reports patient status.
