Job summary

TriHealth is seeking a Hospice Aide to provide direct patient care in patients' homes and long-term care settings across the Westside Cincinnati area. You will assist with daily living activities, offer companionship, and support a multidisciplinary hospice team to ensure comfortable, dignified care.

The role is PRN with shifts around Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, no weekends or holidays, and requires reliable transportation. BLS and 6 months to 2 years healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 2 years healthcare experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days.
• Reading and Math ability appropriate to the position.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care tasks under the supervision of a nurse (bathing, feeding, ambulation, companionship).
• Communicates effectively with the patient’s inter-disciplinary team and family.
• Performs equipment and supply quality checks and reports problems.
• Monitors and restocks supplies as needed; maintains documentation per policy.
• Adheres to safety policies and regulatory documentation requirements.

Education
