Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a full-time hospice aide to cover Monroe and Loudon. You will provide compassionate personal care, assist with mobility, meals, and daily tasks in patients' homes, while documenting changes for the registered nurse.

Flexibility and reliability are essential in this role. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, current CNA and CPR certifications, and a valid driver’s license with dependable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant per state requirements.
• CNA experience within the last two years.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics during care tasks.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding as needed.
• Performs homemaking and environmental services as assigned.
• Observes and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
