Job summary

Amedisys is hiring a Licensed Nursing Assistant to join its hospice team serving Nashua, Milford and surrounding areas. The role focuses on compassionate in-home care, safety, and support for patients in their most comfortable setting.

Eligible candidates will have a CNA certification, CPR, a high school diploma or equivalent, and CNA experience within the last two years. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CNA certification/registration as required by state.
• CNA experience within the last two years.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Observes and reports changes in patient status and documents observations.
• Assists with ambulation, transfers and daily activities as prescribed.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and environmental tasks as assigned.
• Follows plan of care written by a registered nurse.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as directed by nurse or therapist.
• Performs simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
