Job summary

CorsoCare Hospice in Brunswick, GA is seeking a compassionate Hospice Aide to join our health services team. The aide provides personal care to assigned patients under the supervision of the Staff Registered Nurse/Case Manager, and the Clinical Manager. Requirements include STNA certification with at least 1 year of hospice experience, valid driver’s license, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Certified STNA in the state of Ohio (as listed).
• Minimum 1 year of Hospice Aide experience in health care or home care.
• CPR certification preferred but not required.
• Current driver’s license with automobile insurance and reliable transportation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must meet physical demands of patient care.
• Self-directed with minimal supervision.
• Avid team player.
• Positive attitude promoting team and performance.
• Empathetic, nonjudgmental, tactful and organized.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, healthful, and safe environment for patients.
• Assist patients with ambulation and transfers using safe techniques.
• Assist with nourishment and fluids, including meals and hydration.
• Record temperature, pulse, and respiration.
• Follow infection control procedures and care plans.
• Provide emotional support to patient and family.
• Establish trust and confidentiality with patient and household.
