Job summary

Care Initiatives Hospice is hiring a compassionate Hospice Aide to provide patient care across homes, long-term care communities, assisted living, or hospital settings. You will meet patients and families where they are, delivering loving support during life’s final stages with dignity and respect.

The role emphasizes physical, emotional, and spiritual care, teamwork with families and healthcare staff, and a holistic approach to comfort and quality of life for patients and their loved ones.

Qualifications

• Experience working as Hospice Aide, Home Health Aide, and/or CNA in the previous 24 months (preferred).
• Hospice or palliative care experience (preferred).
• Active CPR certification (required).
• Current driver's license and automobile liability insurance; willingness to travel between sites within your region.
• Ability to obtain Hospice Nursing Assistant Certification (CHPN) within 24 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating).
• Provide emotional support and companionship; foster a positive environment.
• Communicate with residents, families, and healthcare team.
• Encourage and facilitate resident recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance health and daily routines.
• Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.
