Job summary
Altra Homecare of Kokomo in Muncie, Indiana, is seeking compassionate Homecare Caregivers to deliver personalized personal care services as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA). You will help patients with daily living activities and support their safety and comfort.
Join our team and receive a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive weekly pay of $14 - $16. Must have valid driver’s license, CPR, and ability to follow written care plans.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance.
- Current CPR certification.
- Able to read, follow written instructions, and document care.
- Comply with State and Federal training requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient laundry when necessary
- Provide medication reminders
- Ensure patient safety
- Report significant changes in the patient's condition directly to their supervisor
- Prepare light meals and assist with patient feeding when required
- Monitor and record patient temperature
- Assist patients with ambulation
- Conduct range of motion exercises and other simple physical activities
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and adhere to care protocols
- Follow privacy policies and infection control guidelines
- Offer bathing assistance
- Perform light housekeeping
- Provide companion services, including letter-writing and reading
