Job summary

Working Nurses, Inc. is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our home-based care team in New York. You will meet with patients in their homes, assess mobility issues, and craft customized therapy plans aimed at improving daily living activities.

You will collaborate with physicians and other health professionals to coordinate follow-up care, educate patients on lifestyle changes, and document progress with detailed records. Flexible schedule and compassionate care are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must hold the required state license for occupational therapy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• The ability to stay positive and compassionate over a long period of time with patients.

Responsibilities

• Meet with patients from many backgrounds and discuss health concerns and therapy needs.
• Conduct evaluations to determine a starting point for each patient.
• Create a therapy plan specific to each patient to meet mobility goals.
• Work closely with other care team members to provide follow-up care.
• Maintain excellent records of patient therapy and progress.
