Job summary

At Home Healthcare, part of the Optum/LHC Group family, is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide therapy aimed at restoring patients to their fullest physical ability. You will work under the supervision of an OT and follow state laws governing home health OT practice.

You will observe patient responses, document changes, and educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques, while supporting diverse home environments and patient backgrounds throughout your daily visits.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in the state of practice.
• Current driver's license and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• Ability to meet state-specific laws governing home health occupational therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy to patients per the supervising OT's plan of care.
• Record patient responses and report changes to the nurse supervisor and physician.
• Instruct patients, families, and caregivers in therapy techniques within scope.
• Function effectively in diverse home settings and with all patient backgrounds.
