Job summary

Guardian Home Health, part of the LHC Group and Optum family, seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide therapy to patients and help restore physical ability in a home care setting. You will work under the supervision of an OT and support families and care teams.

Responsibilities include following the plan of care, observing patient progress, and instructing patients and caregivers. Commitment to equitable, high-quality care is expected.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing OT in home health as defined by supervising OT.
• Follow plan of care and assist patients with evidence-based treatment within scope.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to nurse and physician.
• Instruct patient, family, caregiver, and others in therapy within scope.
• Provide care regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability or financial condition.
