Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is seeking compassionate Home Health Aides to assist patients at home under a plan of care. You will help with baths, hygiene, dressing, feeding, and perform routine measurements as ordered.

Successful applicants meet training requirements, hold CPR certification, complete Maxim’s competency program, and comply with applicable federal and state regulations. Competitive pay and benefits are available.

Qualifications

Meets all training requirements per state and federal laws when applicable.
Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given.
Possess and maintains current CPR certification per state regulation.
PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations.
Participation in Maxim’s competency program.

Responsibilities

Assist patients per the plan of care: baths, oral hygiene, dressing, toileting, feeding, etc.
Take and record temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when ordered.
Ensure safe transfers and ambulation; assist with range of motion and activities as ordered.
Support exercise according to the plan of care and perform simple procedures as directed.
Handle patient laundry and maintain safety using equipment properly.
Observe and document patient condition; report changes to the assigned nurse supervisor.
Communicate clearly with client, family/caregiver, and office.
Meet safety needs of patients and practice home safety.
Recognize emergencies and follow emergency management procedures.
